High-quality stainless steel components in vertical and horizontal centrifugal casting from S+C.

At S+C, we operatre one of the most efficient foundries for high-quality centrifugally cast stainless steel components. All our materials are available in vertical and horizontal centrifugal casting:

  • Castings with an outer diameter of 150mm - 1,800mm.
  • Castings weighing up to 6,000 kgs.
  • More than 75 years of experience in centrifugal casting.

All our materials are available for vertical and horizontal centrifugal casting.

„Made by S+C” also means: we check which manufacturing process and which material is most suitable for your requirement. Our components leave S+C either in a pre-machined condition for finish machining in your factory or as a ready-to-install component.

Our products are approved by almost all inspection and quality assurance companies, worldwide.

Centrifugal casting.

vertical and horizontal centrifugal casting.

We provide our our customers 70 years of experience in centrifugal casting. By using the centrifugal casting process, components with a high-purity and a dense microstructure are produced in vertical and horizontal casting processes. The materials are free of impurities and are suitable for first-class high-performance products. But what exactly happens in centrifugal casting? In the centrifugal casting process, liquid stainless steel is poured into a rotating mold where it is subjected to centrifugal forces of up to 130 G.

This produces a very dense microstructure which is free of impurities. The mechanical/technological properties at room temperature are very close to those of forged materials.

Moreover, centrifugal casting offers a very good value for money.

**1G corresponds to 1 times the acceleration due to gravity. The G-force in the centrifugal casting process acts on the solidifying steel through rotation and influences the microstructure formation during solidification towards better mechanical values. Gases and unwanted inclusions are driven to the inner diameter and can be easily removed by mechanical processing.
