In our in-house R+D department, we deal with new and further developments of materials as well as process optimizations. All to be able to offer best solutions for your specific requirements. In our certified materials laboratory, we e.g. carry out metallurgical examinations, for finding the causes of damages and, in the best case, also provide recommendations for their prevention.
S+C offers a large range of services. In addition to our in-house machining services such as turning, milling, drilling and deep hole drilling, we also offer services of our large network of external partners who provide innovative solutions such as waterjet cutting, laser and electron beam welding, ...). We weld and assemble your components and offer an exceptional level of expertise in joint welding. Heat treatment to achieve required material properties is also part of our service.
By the way: S+C welders are also certified according to DIN EN 9606-4 for welding of nickel alloys. You'll find our broad range of services below.

Mechanical processing.
A wide range of production methods.
Our machining spectrum includes all major machining methods such as turning, milling, drilling and deep-hole drilling in a particularly wide range of dimensions. As a system supplier, we also undertake machining methods to be performed externally, such as grinding, honing, gear cutting, etc, if required.

Failure investigation.
Clarification of the causes of the failure.
The experience of our specialists, as well as the excellent equipment of the company's own materials testing laboratory, enables us to actively participate in the clarification of the causes of the failure. Our analyses can reveal much more than the exact cause of the damage. You may also receive concrete suggestions as to how similar problems can be avoided in future, e.g. by using a different material, adapting your process conditions or by using a modied design.

Heat treatment.
Optimal parameters.
For the adjustment of required material properties, heat treatment is often obligatory or advisable. The specific setting of the optimum parameters is of great importance, since the performance behavior of the components is decisively influenced by them. S+C has a state-of-the-art equipment available for this purpose.

Assembly and welding.
The most suitable welding process.
We are able to perform all fabrication, repair and joint welding on our components or have it performed under our direction. Our welders are certified according to DIN EN 9606-4. Our specialists will select the most suitable or economical welding process for you. We offer the following processes:

Material testing and quality control.
Design and materials consulting.
We are continuously working on metallurgical and manufacturing technology developments to ensure highest quality of our products. We carry out material testing as well as regular quality inspections, for which we have the most modern technologies available in our three in-house X-ray departments. In addition to the X-ray inspection of weld seams, tests are also carried out on the workpiece. We can X-ray wall thicknesses of up to 250 mm (steel).
