At S+C we base our activities on decades of experience in high-quality centrifugally cast rolls for the glass industry. We are continuously working to expand our wide range of in-house developed materials and to widen our product portfolio in line with industry's requirements.
Since float glass production has very high requirements on the quality of the rolls, the centrifugal casting process used for roll production is carefully monitored. This ensures the quality of the material, the uniformity of the wall thickness and the straightness of the rolls.
S+C supplies centrifugal castings for float glass production in as cast and in pre-machined conditions for top rolls, LOR (Lift out rolls) and Lehr rolls, for the roll mantles as well as for the intermediate sleeves and bearing journals. The production of ready-to-install rolls is possible and will be checked on request.
For the selection of the most suitable material, the entire range of corrosion and heat resistant materials from S+C is available. This includes both: standardized and special materials. The material selection can be individually adapted to your requirements. Our specialists will be pleased to advise you.
